Zouk came about when Lambada dancers found the Zouk rhythm and music from the French Caribbean Island and realized they could dance Lamabda to it. With the infusion of  Zouk music, the dance became more sensual, slower and less frantic. Hence the Brazilian Zouk or Zouk-Lambada dance was borned.
