Dancing Shoes For ladies, dancing shoes are standard from 1 ½ inches to 2 inches. Only thing to think about is the design. Make sure shoes fit well. For guys, recommended to get the all black (standard black colour) latin dance shoes. It has a heel so guys get used to it. Makes your feet looks sharper and nicer when you dance and doesn’t make your footwork lazy. If you are a very tall person, go for the black jazz shoes. White ones are available but it gets dirty fast. Black is always standard. Jazz shoes is also more comfortable and for those into New York style, jazz shoes is more applicable. However, world standard do not recommend jazz shoes in their competitions, as per the World Salsa Championship. If you are interested to get dancing shoes, check out these 2 places:- San Lee Shoes From Cheras Business Center on your left as you come from MRRII, take a 3 o’clock at the roundabout and you will be in Jalan Cheras. Taman Midah is on your left. A huge signboard will inform you of the entrance. Go straight in and pass by rows of shop houses. Jalan 5 is on your left. As you turn in Jalan 5, look to the shops on the right. Reasonably priced with good service as compared to Kim Yuen but some say quality not as good as Kim Yuen. But overall quality is not bad. Have been wearing their shoes form so many years without any problem. Kim Yuen Shoe Maker Coming into Jalan Sultan, next block from Petaling Street, go down the one-way street. As you take a bend down the road passing by the pet shops, look to the right. As the bend ends and the road is straight, it is directly on your right. Apparently the best quality dance shoes but also the most expensive. Do not expect much of a goods service there.
Alternatives: Linline Productions and Joyclub Dance Academy Both these places also sell dancing shoes but they do not specialize in it. Kindly contact Lin @ 012-3181202 (Linline, Ampang) or Joanne @ 012-2096487 (Joyclub, TTDI). |
