Rhythm Identity group salsa dance classes are taught using a syllabus influenced by studios in Malaysia such as Dance Street 88 and also Dance Spirit but its core technique are from Latin Dance Australia; more commonly known as the LDA Style which is one of the largest salsa school in Australia.

RI (Rhythm Identity) syllabus is split into 10 different modules. Each class is conducted in a time frame of 1 ½ hours. At the last 10 to 15 minutes of the class from module 2 onwards, students will spend this time dancing among themselves in a simulated dance club environment with dim lights and club based type of songs.

Module 1 to 3 consist of 5 classes each module whereas module 4 to module 8 consist of 4 classes each module. Module 9 and module 10 will be 8 classes each module.

Students who complete all modules are encouraged to seek out further advancement from other studios and instructors around Malaysia as well as abroad to improve their skills. This is also to help them explore more various styles and techniques that in salsa are numerous and seems to keep on evolving.

Having completed all their modules, students can also opt to continue with Rhythm Identity in the instructor program. They will then join Rhythm Identity officially as part of the teaching and performing team.

Rhythm Identity ideology believes firmly that one needs to go out and learn as much as possible before coming back a much more learned person. Thus students who has gone off to learn new styles and techniques can always return to Rhythm Identity and join in the group to further help develop the salsa scene in Malaysia.
