        Lead Instructor
        International Performer
        Founder of Rhythm Identity
        Malaysian Salsa Champion
        Creative Director

Since he first picked up salsa in 2002 under Dance Street 88, he was already well known to be a good lead on the dance floor. In 2004, he progressed his knowledge on salsa under Dance Spirit Co and it was during that year that he clinched the 1st runner-up title of the Harian Metro Goes Salsa Competition with his then partner, Jeamie of Salsajay.

Since then, Jaxen had decided to go all the way for salsa and made it his life and passion. His passion clinced him a few titles one year later where he took home the 1st runner-up position of the Dance V Me Dancesport Salsa Couples Division and the 2nd runner-up of the Salsa Group Division. His biggest achievement came that year when he and his partner, Michelle became the Malaysian Salsa Champion of 2005.

In 2006, he and his salsa sister Shantie set up Rhythm Identity: Salsa and Bachata Dance School.

Jaxen has been involved in many performances throughout Malaysia as well as in salsa festivals and congresses internationally. His exposure to the international scene has given him the chance to learn from some of the greatest salsa instructors around; from Jaime Jesus of Latin Dance Australia to Francisco Vasquez of Los Rumberos, LA and to Nestor Manuelian of Modus Vivendi.

As he grew his salsa love, so too did he grow his love for bachata. Jaxen is well known among certain circles in Malaysia and Singapore as the man with the killer bachata! He is also fondly known as the Bachata King in Malaysia. Having accredited his bachata growth to big international names such as Nestor Manuelian, Juan Ignatio Ruiz and in some ways to Inaki Fernandez; Jaxen has brought into Malaysia the Bachata Moderna style! Jaxen has since then worked closely with Juan Ruiz of Bachateros Australia and is now promoting strongly the Bachata Moderna together; Malaysia and Australia as one!

In 2009, Jaxen and his partner Cecilia brought into Malaysia the dance known as Zouk. Having learned from some of the best in Australia; Vali and Oliver, Allison and Premala, Lidia and Michael, Kadu and Larissa and also from Bebe, Jaxen is now one of the driving forces behind Zouk in Malaysia.

From event performances to being casted in local artist MTV to being invited to perform at AIM (Malaysia's equivalent of the Grammy Awards) to performing in festivals and congresses internationally; Jaxen is poised to show the world that salsa, bachata and now zouk is a part of the Malaysian culture!
