Inaki Fernandez "King of Bachata": Salsa & Bachata World Tour
Inaki Fernandez from Madrid, Spain, is one of the UK’s most sought-after teachers of Latin dance both here and abroad. He specialises in salsa, kizomba, Argentine tango, cha cha, and of course bachata. In 2004, shortly after winning several Spanish championships in salsa and bachata, Inaki arrived in the UK and was quickly asked to join the world-famous “Leon Rose Project” which gave him more than 5 years experience in dancing, teaching and performing within the most prestigious Salsa Congresses and Theatres around the globe.
Teaching at a number of different club venues across the UK and fostering a strong community of bachata fans in the process, Inaki was for many years one of a team of world-class teachers at the prominent Latin Dance Academy in London established by the brain-child of salsa heavyweights Susana Montero and Super Mario.
Inaki focuses predominantly on dance technique and is fast becoming known as the instructor for the serious salsa dancer. He continues teaching and performing in many different cities in the USA, Europe, South America, Asia and the Middle East.
Outside of the teaching arena Inaki is an experienced choreographer, having produced and performed in many pieces for the music industry and television such as the worldwide famous BBC program 'Strictly Come Dancing' in 2009. He has also been invited to judge competitions worldwide. Inaki's extensive dancing credits include the Thriller Live Musical in 2005, performing in Maria Torres' 'Salsation 2008' and 'The Magic of Salsa 2009' production at Salsa Kingdom where he enjoyed working on stage with Willy Torres and his band 'All Starts'.
Many years ago Inaki’s unique footwork and body movement combined with his energy and intensity earned him great popularity amongst the Salsa community, and all this expertise has been poured into his "Bachata Volume 1" teaching DVD. Bachata fans have the double delights of not only seeing one of the most sensual bachata dancers at work, but in addition Inaki is partnered by the inimitable Susana Montero as they lead you through the basics of timing, body movement and footwork.
Recently Inaki joined forces with Frank Santos and Tony Lara who are also renowned bachata teachers. Together they have produced an instructional DVD “3 Bachateros” featuring a fusion of their individual styles.
