I started my dance life adventure in Bachata and Zouk with Jaxen in 2008, and have never looked back to my pre-dance life since then. Dance opened up another universe a previous non-dancer like me could never begin to imagine, and since that has now been revealed to me... my life has never been the same since then. At that time, he and his partner Cecilia were already well-respected performers, but I remember him saying then that his goal is: "In the next events, it will be my students who will be performing." and did he make good on his word. Under his guidance, I had my first taste of performing in that year itself, with many other first time performers in the same team. To date, my classmates are continuing to perform every year at international dance congresses. Today, he and his students' choreography worthy of any international Zouk congress -- full of breathtaking stunts, yet seamlessly manifesting the stories in the songs with expressive emotion. Through this journey, I made many friends in all the classes, that I will cherish for a lifetime. Thank you Jaxen and Cecilia!

RI Welcomes New Instructor Fairuz
One of Malaysia's most talented salsa dancers, Fairuz has been one of Salsajay's most prominent dance instructor. Now, he has joined RI Dance Academy as its Salsa Performance Class Instructor specializing in routines and performance training. He is currently still teaching at both RI Dance Academy and Salsajay.

RI Bids Farewell to Salsa Instructor Lion Gak who is returning to Korea
Not only are the people at RI Dance Academy sad but the general Malaysian Salsa Community is also feeling the loss of one of the most talented salsa instructor to have come to Malaysia and called it home. Lion Gak has brought into Malaysia a whole new level of salsa and is famous for his innovative, fresh and wonderful choreographies and technique. He has helped to build the intermediate level and performance class for RI Dance Academy and his presence will not be forgotten.
Lion will be returning back to Korea for future business endaevours and here at RI Dance Academy we wish him all the best in his journeys and may he find what he is looking for.

RI Welcomes New Instructor Mavis Tan To Join In Our Ever Growing Family
Everyone here at RI Dance Academy is proud and happy to welcome Mavis Tan to join in our roster of instructors. Mavis will be teaching salsa and mainly partnered with current salsa instructor Steven Seah to lead the new batch of salsa students in their dance journey.
Mavis has been dancing salsa for many years and she was the 2010 Malaysian Bachata 1st Runner-Up and the 2011 Malaysian Salsa Champion. She and her dance partner Gary Theseira are active members of the Rhythm Identity Bailamos Con Salsa Pro Team Performers.

RI Bids Farewell to Salsa Instructor KD who has left for Singapore
Everyone here at RI Dance Academy is sad to have to bid farewell to one of our talented salsa instructor Kanaga Durga or better known as KD. She teaches salsa with her teaching partner Steven and is well known to be a foremost expert on ladies styling and shines. She is a treasure and pride of Malaysia and has made all of us proud by teaching and performing at international events such as Bangkok Salsa Festival, World Bachata Festival, Malaysian Salsa Festival, Malaysian Bachata Festival, Salsa Fiesta Indonesia - Bali.
She will be joining her husband and performing partner Sachin in Singapore where she will start her new life and here at Rhythm Identity we bid her all the best in her future journeys and endaevours.
